BOARDING & DAYCAMP POLICIES
Boarding/Daycamp Hours: Our drop off and pick up times are the same as our normal office hours, open every day. Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm. Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
After Hours/Late Pick Up Not Allowed: If your dog is not picked up by the time the staff leaves for the night, he/she will be boarded over night at the owner’s expense and you’ll have to pick her up the next day. Employees reserve the right to leave at closing time so please don’t ask them to stay.
Boarding – Last Day Check-Out Time: We prefer boarding dogs to be picked up by 2 pm on their last day of boarding. If you need to pick up your kids later, that’s no problem, but a “Late Pick up/Daycamp Fee” of $5 per hour, per dog will apply after 2 pm every hour until closing time. If not picked up by closing time then your dogs will stay the night.
FOOD: Your dog can eat our house food at no additional charge, but you are always encouraged to bring your own if they have something their bellies are already very much used to. You may also want to have us feed a little more of your normal food quantity since they are burning more calories here than their normal home routine.
TREATS: We have our own special treats you can add on to your dog’s stay, they are fresh and homemade by our Grammie! Use caution with store bought treats: don’t buy and bring a bunch of treats that your dog is not used to, they’ll get a belly ache!
BONES AND CHEWABLES: Something to gnaw on is a great pastime for most dogs but DO NOT bring leathery chew bones that they could swallow and choke on (like rawhides)-we will not give them because they are not always monitored during rest times in their kennel.
PICKY EATERS: We note whether or not your dog ate each meal. Some dogs may choose not to eat for a variety of reasons. We will encourage them to eat with pumpkin or chicken broth on top of their food. If they have skipped 3 meals, we will charge you for a can of our wet food and try that. If you know your dog is a picky eater, bringing a couple of cans of wet food is a good idea.
EXTENSIVE FEEDING ROUTINES: There is no charge for feeding unless you have an extensive feeding routine that takes more time for us to complete. You may be subject to a special feeding fee of $3 per meal per dog. We have a refrigerator and freezer and we are happy to feed your dog anything and everything that you want them to have to make their stay the best possible time!
BOWLS: We have stainless steel food and water bowls.
BEDS: To make your pups’ kennel experience even more enjoyable, we WILL provide them with a very comfy bed! (pictured below)

Damages to Poochie’s Provided Bed: There is a waterproof liner on it ($20) and a memory foam mattress inside ($25). If your dog damages either part you will have to pay those amounts.
You must let us know if you do NOT want them to have a Poochie’s bed and we will note it on your account. If so, please bring their own bed or blanket to lay on unless your dog prefers the bare floor like some do!
PERSONAL BELONGINGS: It’s up to you, when boarding, you are not required to bring any belongings with you though we prefer that you leave at least his/her own leash with us during their stay. We have everything here for them to have a comfortable stay, however, if your pet has their own bed, favorite toy, treats, chew bones, or anything special to them then you are encouraged to bring it to make your dog’s stay as close to home as possible. Though we do our best to protect your personal belongings by notating descriptions of each item at check in and providing your dog’s very own built-in locker, we can’t guarantee something won’t happen and cannot be responsible for lost or broken items.
Monthly Heartworm and other parasite prevention required! Hookworms are prevalent everywhere in Florida and when a dog gets a case of diarrhea it’s often the cause. Luckily, all pet owners can safely kill off these parasites that live in their dogs guts every month before they cause problems. We ask all owners to ensure that their dogs are on a monthly parasite prevention pill. If your pup hasn’t had their current protection, no problem! Just have our vet give it to them when you drop off.
Medicine Administration: $2 per administration. We take this very seriously which is why only the managers are allowed to administer medications at Poochie’s. PILLS: If it’s a pill that your dog needs to take, please bring us something tasty to hide the pill in if they do not take them easily. We will try to open their mouth and have them swallow it but if they seem aggressive about not wanting that treatment, we will not push it. We will try cheese at no extra cost and if that doesn’t work we will try “Pill Pockets”. If that does work, then we will sell you a bag of them. We WILL make sure that they get their meds on time every time!
