First off, we want to say thank you to our small dog park volunteer (and every park member that also helps out) for keeping the whole area much cleaner. You have been a big help, thank you! By now most of you have noticed the temporary sign we put up while the old sign gets repaired. That sign asks you to please keep the gate to the pool area closed during use. The reason is that when we keep it open, dogs will jump in the pool, then go outside of the area to roll in the dirt, then go back and jump in the pool (without getting a rinse off first-that’s another sign that’s posted there). This has become a costly expense. Everyday we had to pay for maintenance to vacuum the dirt out of the small pool. The pool is designed to handle a little bit of sand, but not that much. Besides constantly looking dirty and murky after being cleaned the day before, it also has been an extra cost for us to repair the pump and filtration system. We need dogs to be rinsed off before going in. The only way for that to happen unfortunately, is for the gate to remain closed so dogs don’t go in and out. Thank you for understanding and following the rules to keep the costs down and the pool looking nice and clean for the next guest!
In more exciting news, the small dog park is about to get much bigger! Starting very soon we are putting a new solid wood fence/divider wall up between the big and small dog area. The expansion will give the small dogs A LOT more dog park and allow us to add some new features in there in the future! We’re always looking for ways to improve what we have here and it’s not possible without your support. Let us know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
